| Welcome to our club! We Welcome anyone that would like to post info or news to email us! I have not posted anything in a while. I have been so busy with my life trying to play catch up. Currently we are going through a major life change. We decided to sell our home in Iowa and move to Arizona. We do not have the facilities in Arizona to keep our dogs. We will be selling all the dogs and only keeping two house dogs. I am making a hard decision whether or not to continue to run the Euro Russell Club. As you know we have others that wish to call them Hunt Terriers. But their standards differ from ours. As a group of us continue to ask. What do you do with the other colors that these black and tan terriers will throw? The biggest problem I face is lack of support, members and dog numbers. In order for this club to grow and gain recognition we must grow. That is not happening right now. So to continue to support something that is clearly not supporting itself is hard for me to do. Please if anyone is out there wanting to have this breed and club continue on I would love to hear from you! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow have we gained major recognition! In the last few weeks puppy/dog registration and membership forms have come pouring in! And thanks to some forums posting we have educated people on this unique breed and received a lot of attention. Posted below is an email from a Euro Russell supporter. Thought this was worth sharing! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi, My name is Nicole Vickers and I'm the proud owner of a blk/tan Irish spotted Euro Russell named Rimshot. Thank you so much for you dedication and appreciation for this wonderful and loving breed! Every time someone ask me what breed Rimshot is, I get scoffs and laughs because people don't understand registered Jack Russells, they laugh and call Rimshot a mutt. I would like to show those who laughed at him that this is a true breed of dog and not some sort of "Jack Russell accident". This little dog is my best friend and I love him dearly, I want to give something back to him. His sire is a non-registered mostly white Jack Russell Terrier and his mother was a non-registered solid Russell. Does he still qualify if his sire wasn't a Euro Russell? If anything can he be registered? I dearly hope y'all will create and sell t-shirts with pics of Euro Russells on them so that I can show my "allegiance" to this beautiful breed while I'm out and about with Rimshot. Thanks so much, Mrs. Nicole Vickers ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In response to Nicole; Yes we can register Rimshot! Even though Rimshot's parents weren't registered or full Euro Russell does not exclude him in registration. On the papers it will list the parentage and if one or both of the parents is a JRT. Even a mostly white JRT can throw a heavy to solid colored terrier! As far as T-shirts. What a great idea! We will work on getting some out there! |
